I am a novelist living in Superior, Wisconsin, the other "air-conditioned city" (to use Garrison Keillor's words) across the bridge from Duluth, Minnesota. My first novel, KEEPING THE HOUSE, was one of the Chicago Tribune's favorites of 2007 (hooray!). It will be out in paperback on July 15; meanwhile, I'm keeping busy writing my next book... and inviting my neighbors to join buythechange!

Interests
