Every year at about this time our neighborhood association sponsors a scavenger hunt for a little rabbit, in homage to the bronze rabbit sculpture on Minnehaha Parkway near our house. Last year was the first year our family participated and we just about knocked ourselves out! We searched every day, even in the pouring rain, always expecting that the rabbit was within reach. See the attached photo for proof!
What we learned is that the clues lead more on a trail than to a specific location, so it's not worth getting to intense until the last few days. We also learned that the "rabbit" was some kind of coat hanger or paper clip contraption bent in the shape of a rabbit. Needless to say, we didn't find it, but we came soooo close.
This year we are back on the hunt! It's day 5, and we have a pretty good idea of the general area that's it's located in. Maybe if the weather holds up today we'll head out again for a deeper exploration, knowing that it's going to be hard to find. Please send good thoughts, and I'll keep you posted!

So close, yet so far! One thing that I love about it is the competitive nature of all involved. I remember a morning when there were a dozen or more of us out waiting for the auto body shop to post on
